The Untouchables Motorcycle Club was founded in the city of Gary, Indiana in the summer of 2000 by Todd “Pac Man” Cliborne and Jeff “The Glide” Matson. After belonging to a larger club, the UMC’s two Founding Fathers decided to hang up their vests and create a smaller, more local club for police officers that ride American-made motorcycles. They took their experiences, both good and bad, and created what would later become the most recognized and respected law enforcement motorcycle club in the world. The Untouchables Motorcycle Club.

	From the beginning, it was determined that the UMC would be created solely to benefit the widows and children of fallen police officers, strengthen our existing Brotherhood, and to promote our love of motorcycling and true freedom. The Club’s motto quickly became, “Riding for our Brothers that can’t.”

		The Club’s chosen name “Untouchables” was used to describe Federal Agent Elliot Ness’ group of law enforcers that took on mob kingpin, Al Capone, during Chicago’s Prohibition-era. To this day, the name “Untouchables” signifies strength, unity, and determination under extraordinary circumstances.

	The Club’s Colors are forged in Black and Orange. Other than red, white and blue, these are the colors most closely associated with American-made motorcycles and freedom of the road.


	The Club’s centerpiece features a menacing skull character aptly named, “Elliot”. Like his famous namesake, Elliot wears a black Fedora hat, black trench coat, black gloves, and a gold police star to signify that he is a Protector. In his hands, a smoking Thompson sub-machine gun, to warn against evil.


After careful planning and preparation, the UMC made its public debut on Labor Day in 2000. Even after numerous requests to start Chapters in other parts of the county, the UMC remained in Indiana until shortly after the attacks on America on September 11, 2001. It was then that officers from the New York City Police Department approached the UMC and applied for a Charter. Shortly thereafter, the New York City Chapter of the UMC was formed, and remains today, as a cornerstone for growth and prosperity within the Club.

	In late 2004, inquires were made about starting a chapter in New Jersey. There were talks and meetings with the New York Chapter. Then it was finally decided to form a chapter, with Mother’s approval. The New Jersey Chapter was finally formed in April of 2005 with 14 original charter members.

		In keeping with the Club’s philosophy, we want quality not quantity. This is a brotherhood of law enforcement officers that is unmatched by any other club.


	In keeping with the desire to remain “local”, the UMC’s bylaws only allow for one Charter per state. Officers from around the Chartered state belong to one centralized Chapter in a designated city.


	Today, the Untouchables Motorcycle Club continues to grow and prosper throughout the world. Our expansion and influence in the motorcycling community has no boundaries. The Untouchables are here to stay
